We have perpetual exposition of our Eucharistic Lord in Saint Clare Chapel, which is located under St. Boniface Church. Visitors are always welcome, simply be aware this place is for silent adoration of our Eucharistic Lord.
What is Eucharistic Adoration and why do we do it?
"Adoration" is worship proper to God alone; Catholics adore the Eucharist because we believe Jesus' words when he said, "This is My Body."
Many other Christians do not understand, or realize how seriously Catholics take this. For most Christians, the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is certainly sacred. Some denominations profess a belief that the Eucharist is--in some way--"a presence" of Christ, while others maintain Holy Communion is merely a holy "reminder" or sign of Christ--but certainly not Christ himself.
But Catholics (along with Orthodox and some other Christian churches) believe the Eucharist is Christ; thus, we actually adore the Eucharist--which would be idolatry unless it really is true that the bread and wine are wholly changed into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ--retaining only the appearance of bread and wine.
This is also why Catholics genuflect in the presence of the Eucharist. And this helps explain why the Catholic Church believes one must be a Catholic--and in good standing--in order to receive the Eucharist. (Orthodox Churches, as well as some other Christian bodies, believe and do the same.)
Our Incarnate Lord said, before he ascended into heaven: "Lo, I am with you always, even until the consummation of the world" (Matthew 28). To be with our Eucharistic Lord is to be as close to heaven as is possible on earth.
"Let all the world quake and let heaven exult when Christ the Son of the living God is there on the altar." – Saint Francis of Assisi
"Man has time for everything except for visits to His Lord and God, who is waiting and longing for us in the Blessed Sacrament. The streets and places of entertainment are filled with people; the House of God is deserted. Ah! Poor Jesus! Did you expect so much indifference from those you have redeemed, from your friends, from your children, from me?" – Saint Peter Eymard
"Christ remains among us until the end of the world. He dwells on so many altars, though so often offended and profaned. If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion." – Saint Maximilian Kolbe
